Deputies searching for fatal hit and run driver

- A Tampa woman was hit and killed by an unknown vehicle Tuesday night.

Hillsborough County Sheriff deputies hopes anyone has information on the crash. Sherry Hunter, 61, was crossing West Waters Avenue near Wilsky Boulevard when the vehicle in question struck her and then fled the scene.

Hunter was not in a crosswalk. She died at the scene. 

The vehicle is most likely a dark-colored Toyota with front end damage to the grill and headlight. It's unclear whether it was a truck or a sedan.
