TAMPA, Fla. (FOX 13) - Anyone who's been stuck in traffic in Florida will not be surprised to hear that the Sunshine State is home to plenty of aggressive drivers.
A new study by GasBuddy shows three Florida metropolitan areas scoring in the top 20 U.S. cities with the most aggressive drivers.
Orlando is the only Florida city to crack the top 10, coming in at No. 7 on the list. The Miami-Fort Lauderdale area ranked as No. 17, while Tampa-St. Petersburg came in at No. 19.
The study used data from the top 30 metropolitan areas by population and calculated the frequency of aggressive "events," including speeding, hard breaking and accelerating.
Researchers said drivers were 1.2 times more likely to deal with aggressive driving on a Friday than on a Wednesday.
But if you think Florida has a lot of aggressive drivers, be glad you aren't in California, which had four cities in the top 10 alone.
Los Angeles took the overall top spot, followed by Philadelphia and Sacramento, California.
