Tampa police investigate deadly shooting

- Police are investigating after a man was fatally shot early Saturday morning.

Tampa police said the shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. on N. 49th Street.

The victim, 30-year-old Charles Freeman, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died.

Investigators said they’re trying to identify potential witnesses to the shooting. No further details have been released.
