4 hospitalized after car crashes into tree

An early-morning car crash in Bradenton put four people in the hospital, and the car in a nearby home's yard. 

Police responded to a call about a reported traffic crash on the 2100 block of Martin Luther King Avenue East at 2:47 a.m. Thursday. When they arrived on scene, they discovered a black 2007 Saturn 4-door in a yard.

According to police, the Saturn left the roadway and struck a parked vehicle, and then a tree. It finally came to a rest just twenty feet from a someone's home. 

Three people were trapped inside the car and had to be removed by the Bradenton Fire Department. 

All four passengers were taken to the hospital, where the driver was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. The front-seat passenger suffered life threatening injuries. 

The backseat passengers suffered non-serious injuries. There were no injuries reported from anyone in the residence.

Traffic Homicide Investigators are investigating the incident.
