St. Pete police search for person of interest in teen's murder

- Detectives are looking for a person of interest in connection to a teen’s murder in St. Petersburg.

Police are searching for 27-year-old Drew Allen Reed. He is a convicted felon.

Investigators say Reed was at the scene with a gun where 17-year-old Tyler Lord was killed early Thursday morning.  The teen’s body was found in an alleyway along 16th Street South, just two houses away from his home.

Detectives say Reed is 5 foot 8 inches tall, and weighs175 pounds.  He has a sleeve tattoo on his right arm, a cross tattoo on his upper left arm, and a thin beard.  Police say he is known to be armed.

They’re also looking for his vehicle, a 2010 Mazda 3S Hatchback with the tag number: DDMV68.
