Santa delivers shoes to kids in Pasco County

- Some Pasco County deputies teamed up with Santa Claus to help kids in need this season.

Corporal Jessica Hammond says a little girl from Lacoochee Elementary School approached her and asked if she knew Santa.  She told the girl they were good friends.

The girl asked if she could speak to Santa about getting a new pair shoes. Her shoes had holes and gaps in them.

Corporal Hammond talked to a parent and discovered that 24 kids in the trailer park where the girl lived were in need of basic necessities.

Hammond got with Santa and some of his “elves” to gather clothes and shoes for kids in need.

The deputies made their special delivery Sunday morning.
