66-year-old man dies in Hudson accident

- The Florida Highway Patrol responded to Hicks Road and Daybreak lane for reports of an accident just after 3 a.m.

First responders found a single vehicle accident involving a 1996 Dodge Intrepid. Troopers investigating the accident determined that the driver, Edsel Hahn, a 66-year-old from Hudson, had been driving northbound on Hicks Road when he crossed the center line.

The accident report states that Hahn's vehicle entered the grassy shoulder on the west side of Hicks road before returning to the paved roadway. 

At that time, the vehicle crossed the roadway on to the east side and collided with a chain link fence.

Hahn was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene of the crash.

No other vehicles were involved.
