December 31: last day for battery operated SunPass to work

- December 31st is the last day the battery operated SunPass will work. 

The electronic toll equipment will longer register the transactions. Instead, to make way for the newer technology, motorists who still have them are being urged to swap them out with the new SunPass Mini or SunPass Portable.

These devices will eventually be compatible with electronic toll programs in other states.

SunPass is allowing customers to swap devices for FREE which you can do here.

The battery operated SunPass will no longer work after Dec. 31.
