Package in downtown Tampa determined harmless

- Tampa police said what they thought was a suspicious package found near Polk and Morgan streets in downtown was actually a brief case left there by mistake.

The call about the package came in to dispatchers at 5:16 p.m.

Several streets nearby were closed while Tampa Police Department's Explosive Ordnance Disposal team conducted an investigation. Those streets reopened shortly before 9 p.m.
