Video of fights at Polk school posted on Instagram

- Children at Boone Middle are using social media to relive school yard fights over and over again and now, parents want answers about who's behind one of those accounts.

An Instagram account shows video of several fights, which have began being posted a week ago. There are seven videos of different confrontations, so far.

The videos involve boys and girls, and show yelling, punches flying, and hair being pulled.

"I just wish it wasn't posted at all," student Addison Nelson told FOX 13 on Friday. "Cause I just feel really embarrassed."

Addison said one of the videos shows her being beaten up by another girl. Addison's mom said she is infuriated.

"I think it's absolutely ridiculous, not only to my daughter, but to the other students that are on there," Beverly Whitfield said.

Haines City police charged several students who appear in the videos and says an investigation is underway into several more.

The Polk School District released a written statement Friday saying it takes all fighting seriously, has disciplined the students involved, and is closely watching the situation at Boone.

The identity of the person posting the videos has not been uncovered.
