72-year-old Florida woman marks 18th birthday -- on leap day

- It's a picture-perfect day for Anna Muir's 18th birthday.

"I'm the only great-grandmother around who's 18 with a 1-year-old great-grandchild," she laughed, while strolling with her great-grandson Colton.

She's got another great-grandchild, too. Anna also has three grandkids and three boys of her own.

"I'm on the go all the time," she said Monday.

The babysitter extraordinaire is just now entering adulthood.

"Sometimes I have to get the calculator out to figure out what year it really is," she smiled.

Anna is a leap year baby, born 72 years ago today.

"February 29th, 1944," Anna said.

Only circling your birthday on the calendar once every four years complicated things growing up.

"I felt a little slighted. But my parents always went out of their way to make it special for me," Anna said.

Now that she's in her real 70's, she's loving it.

"My friends around make a big deal of it. You really hardened out the years for being so young!" she laughed.

She has her humor, health, and a wealth of family to keep her on her feet.

"I won't be around forever, but when I have little ones like this I feel like I can go on for another 20 years," Anna smiled.

Every fourth year calls for a special celebration to recognize a life that's turned out to be pretty sweet.

"It's just fun. I can tell everybody, 'Gee I'm 18!'" Anna laughed.

Anna's family is planning a big birthday party for her next weekend.
