Adorable Basset Hound puppies up for adoption

Nine adorable puppies are going up for adoption Tuesday at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.

"Shelby," a stray two-year-old Basset Hound mix came to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay very pregnant. The shelter couldn't turn her away, so they cared for her until she gave birth to the puppies.

The Humane Society isn't equipped to handle all those puppies so they found them a foster home to take in the whole litter, turning his office into a puppy nursery.

The puppies are old enough and are up for adoption starting at noon on Tuesday.

Their mommy, Shelby, will also be up for adoption soon.

The Humane Society is also asking for more volunteers to foster puppies and kittens until they are old enough for adoption.
