Arrest made in SOHO kidnapping, robbery

- An arrest was made less than a week after a woman was attacked in the SOHO area of Tampa.

The Tampa Police Department said officers arrested 32-year-old Johnathan Troy Rogers Friday in Tampa, and charged him with kidnapping and robbery, but said more charges could be brought against him.

TPD released video of the suspect Sunday after a woman reported being attacked while walking back to her car alone after a night out with friends on Friday night.

When she entered the Green Lemon parking lot at 2:10 a.m., she said a man hit her over the head, then robbed and kidnapped her. TPD said the victim suffered minor bruises and scrapes during the attack, and had several items stolen from her.

TPD said the investigation would continue and asked anyone with information about the incident to call the Tampa Police Department at 813-231-6130.
