Benito Middle teacher arrested for sexual battery against two students

- A Hillsborough County teacher has been accused of inappropriately touching two students.

On Monday, Tampa police arrested 31-year-old Alex Jeffrey Hull at Benito Middle School. Detectives said the crimes occurred between November 2017 and May 2018 at the middle school where he was a teacher and the victims were students.

Police said they were tipped off by one of the parents of the students involved. They said there is no evidence of other victims, but police are asking parents or students who have knowledge of possible victims to call the Tampa Police Department at (813) 231-6130.

Hull faces several charges including showing obscene material to minors, molestation, and sexual battery.

There is no word on his employment status with the Hillsborough County School District, or if he had any past disciplinary history.
