Body found in Belleair water may be missing boater

- A body found in the water Friday could be that of a boater who went missing Saturday, January 30, according to Clearwater police.

The man's boat was found close to the Sand Key Coast Guard Station at 1375 Gulf Blvd after his wife called the U.S. Coast Guard.

Multiple agencies, including the Clearwater Public Safety Dive Team,  searched for him, but were unsuccessful.

The final identification of the body found Friday will be made by the medical examiners office, police said.
