Body found in freezer confirmed to be missing girl

- Investigators say a body found in a freezer last week has been positively identified as Janiya Thomas.

That came to light today during the court appearance today in Manatee County for her mother, Keishanna Thomas.

The 11-year-old Bradenton girl had been missing for more than a year.  Her body was found in a freezer of a garage at the home of her grandmother and aunt.

Detectives say the freezer had been delivered by her mother.

Thomas is being held in the Manatee County Jail on a number of charges.
