Bradenton police: Officer injured, suspect shot

- Police are investigating not one, but two scenes following an officer-involved shooting in Palmetto early Monday morning.

As of shortly before 6 a.m., crews were set up in the 2300 block of 13th Street West, and in the 600 block of 27th Street East.

Locals have been asked to avoid the areas.

So far, Bradenton police have said an officer has minor injuries, and the person who was shot has been transported to a local hotpital in fair condition.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has been called out by the chief to help investigate as well.

FOX 13 has a crew at the scene and will continue with updates as they become available.
