Brothers dead, another injured in Plant City shooting

- The bodies of two brothers, 62-year-old Milton Varn and 66-year-old Perry Varn, were found on the Varn family property in Plant City. Deputes say it appears the deaths were part of an ongoing land dispute between the brothers.

The HCSO said their deputies were conducting a death investigation Saturday after the bodies were found at 5501 Varn Road. 71-year-old George Long was also shot in the should according to deputies, he was taken to the hospital.

HCSO is still piecing together how the shooting happened, and exactly whose gun fired the fatal shots. Neighbors say the deceased brothers, Milton and Perry Varn, were apparently in an argument over the use of their land.

The dispute had gone on for years, one neighbor told FOX 13 News.

Deputies say a fourth family member was involved when the shooting happened, but that person was not hurt.
