Bus drivers do test run of routes before school starts
TAMPA (FOX 13) - Bus drivers for the Hillsborough County school district did a test run of the bus routes Tuesday morning.
Students will start a new school year on Wednesday in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Manatee and Citrus counties.
To prepare for the first day, bus drivers in Hillsborough County will navigate nearly 950 different routes during a test run.
On a typical school day, Hillsborough County bus drivers transport nearly 90,000 children.
The school bus test run is just one of many ways that local school districts prepare for the new year.
