FWC: Body of missing Pinellas Park boater found

- Multiple agencies have been searching for a Pinellas Park man who left on a canoe from Ben T. Davis Beach on Saturday morning.

The U.S. Coast Guard said 35-year-old Joshua Ford did not return as expected after fishing in Old Tampa Bay.

Authorities said they found his empty canoe in the water near Cypress Point Park on Sunday morning.

Sunday afternoon, FWC officials confirmed they have recovered the body of Joshua Ford in same area where the empty canoe was found.

The U.S. Coast Guard, Tampa Police Department, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, Florida Fish and Wildlife and Eckerd College are all involved in the search for Ford.
