Car careens into baby in stroller following crash

- Clearwater police said an infant in a stroller was seriously injured after a car struck the stroller Monday.

Police said two cars collided near Drew St. and Old Coachman Rd. Then, one of the cars struck the mother and the child on the northwest corner of the intersection.

Northbound Old Coachman and westbound Drew St. were closed while police investigated.

The baby was airlifted to Bayfront Hospital with serious injuries, but police say her injuries are not thought to be life threatening. The baby's mother and both drivers of the cars involved were also taken to the hospital.
