Body found in search for missing swimmer off Indian Rocks Beach

- A body was found during the search for a missing swimmer Saturday night, according to the Coast Guard.

Crews were searching for 53-year-old, Michael Cowles in the waters just 10 miles west of Indian Rocks Beach in Pinellas County. Officials said Cowles jumped into the water from a boat to cool off, but never resurfaced. That's when people on the boat called for help.

Cowels was not wearing a life preserver.

Crews from the Coast Guard, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, and Tampa Fire Rescue helped with the search.
