Dark body camera footage obtained from the Pasco County Sheriff's Office shows the arrests of John Suggs and Michelle Bager.

Their arrests came hours after Bradenton police say they carjacked an Uber driver around 5 o'clock Monday.

"There were narcotics involved it was on a binge," said Assistant Bradenton Police Chief Paul McWade.

The 67 year old driver had just dropped a legitimate fare on 14th Street West.

Police say the duo then jumped in his car without permission and told him to drive a few blocks.

"Probably about three blocks away they said pull over here the male part of the people jumped on the victim beating him choking him," said McWade.

A scuffle would break out, but ultimately Suggs and Bager took off with the driver's car.

He had to be hospitalized but is said to be out and recovering.

Police say the duo went from Bradenton to Pinellas to Hillsborough then to Pasco County picking up drugs along the way.

Officials say the Uber driver's car was totaled after a pursuit with deputies in Pasco County.

Bager is said to have admitted to the crimes.

Both are being held in Pasco County, and will face charges there.

They'll be brought back to Bradenton afterwards to face charges of carjacking and aggravated battery.
