Fire destroyed a house in the Town 'n Country area the day before Thanksgiving, but thankfully no one was badly injured.

The scene of the fire is a home along Cresthill Drive at Jackson Springs Rd. The view from SkyFOX showed a what appeared to be a shed in the home's backyard fully engulfed in flames, while fire was also burning inside the back of the home.

Both structures were heavily damaged. Investigators think the fire started in the grass and spread to the house. One of the people living in the house said, after the fire broke out, it got out of control very quickly.

Six adults, one child and four animals lived in the house. Firefighters rescued one cat from the home and administered oxygen, after which it seemed to be doing better.

Another cat is missing.

The home is unlivable at this point. The people who lived there say this is just heartbreaking before the holidays - but they're thankful everyone survived.
