Customers restrain robbery suspect at Walgreens

- Customers at a Walgreens in Bradenton were not going to let a would-be robber follow through with his plan Sunday.

Bradenton police said 26-year-old Anthony Nemeth tried to rob the pharmacy at Walgreens on Cortez Road Valentine's Day.

Customers in the store apparently saw what was happening and restrained him until police arrived. Nemeth suffered some injuries during the citizen arrest and was taken to Blake Medical Center for treatment.

He was later booked into Manatee County Jail and held on a $15,000 bond.

Nemeth faces a charge of attempted armed robbery.
