Deadly crash shuts down US 19 lanes

- Several lanes were blocked on U.S. 19 near Curlew Road after a deadly crash earlier this morning.

The accident happened just before 8 a.m. in the northbound lanes.  The view from SkyFOX showed two vehicles on their sides on the shoulder of the road at Highland Acre Drive.

The road had earlier been closed for a medical helicopter to land, but it appears that at least some traffic is now being allowed through.

At least one person has died, FHP says.

Drivers are being urged to avoid the area for the next few hours as officials work the scene.

FOX 13 will continue with updates as they become available.
