Deputies: Illegal immigrant busted trying to sell rifle

GIBSONTON (FOX 13) - Deputies in Hillsborough County say undercover detectives busted an illegal immigrant and known gang member trying to sell them a semi-automatic rifle.
Jose Calderon Rebolla, 33, was arrested Monday evening at the Walmart on Gibsonton Drive. That's where they say he met an undercover agent to sell the Bushmaster AR-15 rifle.
Rebolla faces a charge of being an alien in possession of a firearm.
"Calderon Rebolla is a certified Sur 13 gang member and not a legal citizen of the United States," an HCSO spokesperson stated.
Detectives say U.S. Border Patrol agents helped with the investigation.
