Detectives searching for suspect in fatal Palmetto shooting

- Deputies are searching for a man wanted for murdering a 24-year-old in Palmetto.

According to Manatee County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect, 18-year-old Jacoryan Christopher Lee, approached the victim, Tommy Brown Jr. in his car and they began arguing. The shooting occurred in the 900 block of 21st Street East in Oakwood Estates. 

The argument escalated when the Lee got into the backseat, then fatally shot Brown, detectives say. Lee fled the scene.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for murder and is asking anyone with information on Lee’s whereabouts to contact them at (941) 747-3011 or Crime Stoppers at (866) 634-8477.
