Twenty of the 100 dogs displaced from a flooded shelter have made their way to The Humane Society of Tampa Bay, where they are now gearing up for adoption.

The dogs arrived on Sunday January 10 after being rescued form the Natchez-Adams County Humane Society in Mississippi due to flooding.

Many of the dogs are terrier, hound and retriever puppies, and some are currently heartworm positive. The facility plans to treat the dogs, and spay and neuter any who have not yet undergone that procedure, before adopting them out.
