Hillsborough County deputies are searching for the suspects who damaged more than 30 vehicles in a subdivision in Riverview.

Deputies say they were called to the South Cove Subdivision around 6:15 a.m. Monday after residents found the windows of their vehicles smashed in and their cars damaged.

At least 15 vehicles had broken windows and others appeared to have been damaged by blunt objects like a baseball bat or bricks, including an HCSO unit assigned to the Court Process Section.

Bob Hanley is one of the 33 victims.

His brand new Dodge Ram had the back window broken out.

“It literally feels you dropped your ice cream cone when you’re a kid,” he said.

Detectives say they are searching for two light-skinned teenagers or young adults who were seen leaving one of the homes in a light-colored, possibly silver, four-door sedan. They are trying to figure out of these are the suspects involved.

“They need to understand this is extremely serious and some of these charges could be felonies and that’s life changing,” said sheriff’s office spokesperson Cristal Nunez.

Anyone with information is being urged to call the sheriff's office at 813-247-8200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
