Driver crashes into Largo police cruiser during traffic stop

While Largo police officers were conducting a traffic stop, a vehicle rammed into a police cruiser, causing a four-car crash.

It happened Tuesday just before 3 p.m. on Roosevelt Blvd. near 62nd St. N.

Police dashcam video shows the two officers on each side of the car that was pulled over, and a car coming from behind, ramming the cruiser.

The surprised officers were able to jump out of the way and barely escape injury.

Fortunately no one was seriously hurt.

Largo police want to remind everyone that drivers must heed Florida's "Move Over Law." Drivers must move out of the lane closest to the stopped emergency vehicle, and if they can't, drivers must slow to a speed of 20 miles per hour below the posted speed limit.
