Eight injured in Old West Tampa shooting Saturday

- Eight people were shot early Saturday morning just north of Interstate 275 in Old West Tampa.

The Tampa Police Department says plainclothes officers already in the area responded quickly to the shooting.

It happened just after 1 a.m. Saturday. Tampa police say a shooting in the 2100 block of Main Street resulted in non-life-threatening injuries for eight victims.

Plainclothes Anti-crime Unit officers were already patrolling the area and responded to the scene. 

They found eight victims with injuries.

Tampa PD says none of the victims were willing to cooperate with police.
