Fatal crash closes southbound lanes of U.S. 19 in Hudson

- One person is dead in a crash that shut down the southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 19 in Pasco County.

The crash occurred at New York Avenue in Hudson, and officials say the southbound lanes are closed until further notice. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash involves a pedestrian, although it's unclear whether the pedestrian is the victim.

There is no word on the cause of the crash and the victim's identity.
