One dead after crash involving car, garbage truck

- A Zephyrhills woman was killed in a crash along U.S. 41 in Pasco County on Tuesday.

Troopers say Deanna Bahler's Honda Accord was heading westbound on Horton Road and pulled out into the path of a passing garbage truck.  The truck struck the driver's side of the Honda; both vehicles came to rest in the median of U.S. 41.

Bahler, 52, died at the scene. One of her passengers also suffered serious injuries.

The truck driver was not hurt.

No charges were filed.

Traffic was significantly backed up along U.S. 41 in both directions while the road was closed.
