Fatal crash on I-275 in Pinellas
ST. PETERSBURG (FOX 13) - A woman is dead, and another critically injured after a horrific crash in St. Petersburg on Sunday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the 34-year-old Aishia Musgrove was driving a 2001 Dodge Durango on the exit ramp from I-275 to I-175 when she lost control of the SUV. The vehicle went over the barrier wall and plummeted approximately 70 feet from the elevated overpass to the ground below.
Musgrove died at the scene, and the 28-year-old female passenger is in the hospital with critical injuries.
This is the second time in two weeks that a vehicle traveled over the outside barrier and fell from the elevated overpass.
