Fatal hit-and-run crash investigation underway in Lake Wales
LAKE WALES (FOX 13) - Authorities are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash in Polk County.
The traffic crash occurred on the eastbound lanes of State Road 60 before U.S. 27 in Lake Wales. Those lanes may be reopening soon.
Earlier Thursday morning, the crash caused delays on SR-60. Investigators may move the investigation onto the shoulder of the road.
No other information has been provided, including the victim’s identity or a suspect vehicle description.
