Fatal pedestrian crash closed part of Bruce B. Downs near USF
TAMPA (FOX 13) - A pedestrian has passed away following a Monday morning crash near the University of South Florida.
Deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office initially closed the northbound lanes of Bruce B. Downs Boulevard near University Square Drive for about five hours. They reopened after 11 a.m.
Officials say the victim was involved in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection. The adult male exited his car, and while walking around, a vehicle, that was not related to the first accident, was traveling northbound when it struck and killed him.
