FHP: Drunk driver going wrong way crashes on I-75

- The Florida Highway Patrol said a drunk driver crashed on I-75 early Saturday morning.

The crash happened in the southbound lanes near the Gibsonton Drive exit.

According to FHP, the driver was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when they crashed into the rear wheel area of a fuel tanker.

Fortunately, there were no major injuries reported. The driver has not been publicly identified.

The highway was closed for some time following the crash, but it has since reopened.
