Fire rips through St. Pete home

- A house fire sent smoke billowing over St. Petersburg this afternoon.

The home on 18th Way N was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.  The view from SkyFOX showed the single-story building was badly damaged by the fire.

One woman inside the home was taken the hospital for unspecified injuries. A firefighter was also injured, but no other details were available.
