Firefighter travels across U.S. to honor Las Vegas shooting victims

A firefighter from Long Island is on a mission to honor the lives of those killed in the Las Vegas shooting.

Tommy Maher is traveling across the country to meet with victims' family members and to spread the word about his social media campaign called #Honor58.

This Friday he plans to meet Frank and Summer Hill who live in Bradenton.

Maher's special project encourages people to pay it forward by doing random acts of kindness.

So far he's traveled 9,500 miles.

Maher will be talking about his journey at the Denise's Beachway Cafe in Bradenton Friday, Febryary 16 at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. It is open to the public.
