Firefighters compete in "Extrication Challenge"

TAMPA (FOX 13) - It's part competition, part training opportunity - but firefighters who competed in Saturday's Extrication Challenge will tell you - it's 100 percent fun!

The crashes may be staged, but they're exactly like the real-life scenarios rescuers face on a daily basis.

As Fox 13's Kellie Cowan explains, competitions like this one aren't just great practice for our emergency responders, they're also an opportunity for them to learn from the best.
