Firefighters' Santa program needs help

- Some East Lake firefighters need help saving a holiday tradition.

For nearly 20 years, the department has used a 1961 American LaFrance fire truck for their Santa program.  Each year, they make personal stops to children's homes in the community.

But now, the truck is showing signs of age and is in need of repairs. They estimate it will cost $30,000 to $40,000 to repair the truck.

Firefighters hope it have it ready for this holiday season.

They're asking the community for help via a GoFundMe page: https://www.gofundme.com/eastlakefirerescue
