'Frozen Fest' ahead of championship hockey game
TAMPA (FOX 13) - Limited tickets are still available for tonight's Frozen Four national championship game. Hockey heavyweights North Dakota and Quinnipiac drop the puck at 8 p.m. inside Amalie Arena, but there's plenty of action outside the rink before the game.
Here's a schedule of things to check out before you head to the game:
12:30-2 p.m. Open Skate: Chance to skate on the Lightning's ice! Skates will be provided and best of all it's totally free.
4-8 p.m. Frozen Fest: The party starts in the plaza just outside Amalie Arena. Free to attend, Frozen Fest will feature live music, games, giveaways, local food and drinks and red carpet arrivals.
4 p.m. John Buccigross autograph session
4:30 p.m. Enterprise Main Stage: Luna Blue performs
6 p.m. Red carpet arrivals: cheer on players and coaches as they arrive ahead of puck drop. North Dakota is scheduled to arrive between 6 and 6:05 p.m., Quinnipiac will walk the red carpet between 6:05 and 6:10 p.m.
6:30 p.m. Enterprise Main Stage: Luna Blue performs
Frozen Fest is free and will run from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
