Gator takes cab ride 'home' to lake in Hillsborough deputy patrol car

- An alligator got its own cab ride home after it was spotted near a gas station in Brandon.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office posted video onto its Facebook page of the unique catch-and-release saying the alligator or “Florida native decided to take a trip to CVS and then a Speedway gas station.”

The agency said four deputies took it into one of the patrol cars, and took it to a nearby lake. The video they shared so it exiting the back of the patrol car and strolling to the lake. 

“You don’t see that every day!” the agency wrote.
