Goody Goody is hiring! The throwback restaurant known for its burgers is beginning the process of hiring full-time and part-time positions starting Monday.

The restaurant originally opened in Tampa in 1925 and was the first drive-in restaurant in the southeast. Now, Richard Gonzmart, restauranteur and owner of Tampa's famous Columbia Restaurant, is bringing the restaurant back along Swann Avenue in Old Hyde Park Village in South Tampa.

Back in its heyday, the restaurant was known for its burgers, but when it makes its resurgence, it will also be serving breakfast all day, Gonzmart says.

Some of the positions the restaurant is hiring for are:

-Servers
-Greeters
-Server assistants
-Line cooks
-Prep cooks
-Support staff

The restaurant says anyone can apply in person between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday at the hiring center next door to the Goody Goody restaurant at 1601 W. Swanna Ave. The restaurant is slated to open in late August.
