Hair meant for Kids' Wigs Ended up in the Dump

Hair donations that were meant to help children ended up in a dumpster instead of on a wig. Now the people who donated their hair are upset that their donation ended up in the trash.

The hair was found in the dumpster behind the Great Clips on East Franklin in Gastonia, NC. 100 bags of hair donations were found in the dumpster after Labor Day, and they don't know how they got there. The company is interviewing every employee who was scheduled to work around the time the hair may have been dumped.

Five donations were damaged. Great Clips says they will donate $5,000 to replace the damaged hair.

The donations were supposed to go to Wigs for Kids, an organization that gives wigs to children who have experienced hair loss for a number of reasons, including cancer and burn victims.
