Drive-by shooting near Seminole Heights unrelated to murders

- A drive-by shooting led to a chase and very heavy police presence in Seminole Heights Friday. 

Police tell FOX 13 News the ordeal is unrelated to recent shooting deaths in the area, which have Southeast Seminole Heights on edge.

Tampa PD says it started with a drive-by shooting at Lake Avenue and 23rd Street, leading to a chase down Frierson Avenue, and ending in a crash in the 800 block of Conover Street. 

One person has been detained.

No one was hurt in the shooting.
