Hermine: Hernando County emergency info

Closures, sandbags, and other county-specific emergency information for Hernando County as Hurricane Hermine passes.

SCHOOLS:

Hernando public schools will be closed again on Friday.

All Pasco-Hernando State College campuses will be closed, September 2 due to Hurricane Hermine. The college is expected to resume normal operations on Tuesday, September 6.

EVACUATIONS:
None announced.

SANDBAGS:

Hernando County is making sandbags available at one location: Fire station #1, 1479 Parker Avenue, Spring Hill

CLOSURES:

Pine Island Park, located at 10840 Pine Island Drive near Bayport, is currently closed until further notice due to weather conditions.
