A hotline is now set up for Hernando County residents who became victims of Hurricane Irma.

Although it’s been a month since Irma made landfall in Florida, cleanup efforts continue for many, including those living in Hernando County. The county’s emergency management announced through October 15, residents can call 1-800-451-1954 to receive free assistance with home cleanup.

- Cut up fallen trees
- Tarp roofs
- Remove drywall, insulation, flooring, furniture, appliances, etc.

All services are free, county officials said, but are not guaranteed due to the high demand of need. The hotline cannot assist with social services like food, clothing, shelter, insurance of FEMA registration questions.
