Crews with the Hernando County Fire Department went above and beyond their call of duty Saturday to pitch in and help a family.

A Spring Hill man who was feeling ill while mowing the lawn, took a break and called 911. It turned out, he was having a heart attack.

Rescue crews responded and the man was rushed to the hospital. Meantime, some of the first responders from Engine 2 stayed behind, grabbed the lawn mower and finished the job for him, even taking the time to brush off the driveway.

A neighbor, Jacob Shipp, captured these photos of them finishing up the yard work, and shared them to give them some much-deserved kudos.

The man is recovering at Oak Hill Hospital.
